Job Description Audiologist to provide full range of diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services encompassing basic and comprehensive audiological assessments, evaluation and fitting of basic and computerized hearing systems, cochlear implant systems and collaboration with medical specialists about audiologic manifestations of ear disease; conducts physiologic, electrophysiologic and behavioral assessments of auditory sensitivity for in- and out-patients; serves as expert in acoustic, electroacoustic and physical characteristics of amplification systems in geriatric, pediatric and difficult to test populations, including developmentally disabled and inmates; supervises and participates in consultation with patients, administration of diagnostic testing and development of treatment and therapy programs for patients in conjunction with physicians; evaluates and assists in determination of candidacy for cochlear implantation; provides interoperative testing of internal cochlear implant devices; serves as expert in programming and fitting external cochlear implant speech-processing devices; serves in advisory role to general practice physicians for audiological manifestations of ear disease and non-medical treatment options; participates in and maintains hearing conservation and ototoxic monitoring programs; communicates hearing services information to public by implementing hearing health programs and actively participates in training and education of residents, fellows, medical students and audiology students. Minimum Education Required Master’s Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in speech & hearing science Required Qualifications Licensure by the Ohio Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology required; Masters degree in Audiology or Clinical doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) required and certification or certification eligibility by ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Association) is required; considerable experience providing full range of audiologic diagnostic and rehabilitative services encompassing basic and comprehensive audiological assessments, evaluation and fitting of basic and computerized hearing systems, and cochlear implant systems strongly desired. Requires successful completion of a background check. Regular 40 First Shift
