May participate in the implementation of the infant hearing screening and assessment program at UHCMC, program development, student preceptor ship and other advanced Audiologists duties.What you will doPatient evaluation, interpretation of findings, and management (55%).Patient treatment (25%).Documentation (5%).Equipment use and maintenance (5%).Advanced Audiologist duties (10%).Required For All JobsPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.QualificationsEducation QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Audiology Required andDoctorate Degree in Audiology PreferredExperience Qualifications2+ years Of experience in a medical setting with adult and pediatric patients, hearing aids, OAEs, ENGs, and evoked response audiometry Required andCochlear implant experience PreferredSkills and AbilitiesFundamental knowledge and the ability to apply the principles and practices related to Audiology, appropriate to the developmental/chronological age of patients on caseload. (Required proficiency)Exposure and familiarity with audiometric equipment including audiometers, audiometric booths, immittance bridges, otoacoustic emissions, electronystamograph, auditory evoked responses, VRA, TROCA.
