We are expanding! Helton Hearing Care is a premier, dynamic private practice audiology and hearing device dispensing office. We have proudly served the hearing impaired in Bozeman, MT since 1980. Our practice focuses on providing the highest quality of hearing evaluations and the best possible services to our patients. To continue that level of care in the face of strong demand, we are seeking a full-time audiologist assistant who is mature, personable and career minded. Job Qualifications: – Prefer a bachelorxe2x80x99s degree, but will consider a dedicated applicant with some college -Previous experience as a med tech, vet tech, or pharmacy tech preferred Skills & Expertise – Integrity – Strong communication skills and love for working with technology while helping people improve their quality of life – An interest in learning about the broad range of technologies available to address the needs of hearing impaired patients – History of success in a detail-oriented position – Knowledge of Word, Outlook, and some familiarity with Excel (will train advanced Excel usage) – Able to educate patients in a respectful manner, bringing complex concepts down to a level that is meaningful to them and their lives – The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients – The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients and team members – Interest in being part of a team-oriented solution for our patients Responsibilities: – Must be willing to learn how to perform basic industrial auditory testing, counsel those patients which you would see independently under COHC certification, write industrial audiology reports, keep track of inventory, communicate with outside partners, see and counsel patients in the office and their families about hearing loss, amplification, and assistive technology. – Work under the supervision of our doctors to perform follow-up care and maintain records to ensure optimal patient service. – Perform minor repairs and trouble-shoot hearing device / assistive technology problems. – Learn and teach infection control procedures, maintain lab, including inventory and cleanliness of all medical instruments. – Travel to our offsite visits and see patients independently, and in conjunction with care plans put together by our doctors.
