Interprets evaluation findings and develops an appropriate treatment plan, including goal setting. Carries out treatment plan and coordinates with patient, family, significant others and care team. Monitors patientxe2x80x99s response and modifies treatment to achieve goals. Provides input to improve patient or employee safety. Follows all policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines related to safety. Develops appropriate home or community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of the patients in their own environment. Documents the results of patientxe2x80x99s assessment, treatment, follow-up and termination of services. Oversees Audiology students as assigned. According to licensure laws, is professionally accountable for overseeing delegated clinical skills of the Communication Assistants. Reviews and analyzes quality appropriateness of the Audiology services delivered. Reports associated problems to supervisor as indicated. Understands and complies with billing and reimbursement procedures according to governmental and third-party requirements. Follows through with accurate and ethical billing practices. Reports any questions or concerns regarding compliance immediately to the attention of department or organization/hospital administrative staff. Qualifications: Education: Graduate from an accredited audiology program. License(s)/Certification(s): License to practice audiology in the state of Iowa. Valid driverxe2x80x99s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must read, write, speak and comprehend English. Must be able to communicate effectively (written and orally) with people of diverse professional, educational and lifestyle backgrounds. Multicultural sensitivity. Microsoft Office xe2x80x93 basic computer skills. Customer/Patient focus.Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
