Serve as primary support for a busy Audiology clinic. The audiology assistant position is focused on excellent patient care and provider support. Must display a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, placing patients at ease on the phone and in the office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, greeting patients, basic hearing aid cleanings, troubleshooting, pairing Bluetooth devices, managing inventory, maintaining a clean work environment, and entering/maintaining patient data in patient management system/charts. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, outgoing, happy/enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about healthcare practices.xc2xa0xc2xa0Responsibilitiesxc2xa0Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare staffWork alongside Audiologists to ensure high-quality patient carePerform basic tech duties with hearing aids: device cleanings, and troubleshooting issuesType chart notes for patient follow-up appointments and walk-in visitsHearing aid orientationProcess hearing aid orders and repairsxc2xa0Check-in hearing devices and make sure they are ready to go before patient appointmentsManage stock of hearing aids, chargers, receivers, and domesSanitize and organize lab equipmentInput and maintain patient information in EMR systemxc2xa0Maintain good and appropriate patient relationshipsExercise confidentiality relating to all business and patient informationAdditional responsibilities may include:Distributing electronic intake forms and assisting patients in properly completing paper intake forms if necessaryMaintaining office schedule to maximize productivity, ensure efficiency, and confirm next-day appointmentsCollecting and recording paymentsAnswering phones and scheduling patient appointmentsEnsure the coffee station is clean and stocked, and the lobby/workspace is clean and organizedxc2xa0Perform other miscellaneous office duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience as an audiology assistant, PCC, or in a similar position is preferredStrong work ethic and reliabilityxc2xa0Strong problem-solving and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects or tasks and prioritize appropriatelyAbility to work in fast-paced situations and make sound decisions quicklyExcellent interpersonal skills and a high level of compassionStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with hearing loss is a plusExcellence in customer care. Must interact with patients in a respectful and caring manner
