Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Educational Audiologist to join our team. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating students with hearing and balance disorders. Your expertise and knowledge will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for students experiencing hearing loss. Role will be 4 days / year with consultations after that date. Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess patients’ hearing and balance function- Interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ needs and goals- Administer various audiological tests, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry- Recommend and fit appropriate hearing aids or other assistive listening devices- Provide counseling and education to patients regarding their hearing loss, communication strategies, and device usage- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for students- Stay updated on the latest advancements in audiology research and technology RequirementsSchool Audiologist AuD or PhD in audiology Completion of an approved program from a regionally accredited institution in audiology Practicum or internship in a school setting, equivalent to a minimum of 8 weeks, full time (320 hours) under the supervision of a professionally licensed or master’s level licensed audiologist PRAXIS 5343 (162) [PRAXIS 5342 (170) also accepted if taken before 08.31.2021; accepted through 08.31.2026] If you are passionate about helping individuals improve their hearing abilities and enhance their overall quality of life, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
